This enchanting project was a new musical for children created by actor/musician/composer Alfie Richards. What ensued was a joyous collaboration with Alfie to bring to life the story he had devised with Jamie Richards for an ensemble of actor-musicians. Together, Alfie and I workshopped the initial material, and then I undertook the transcription of Alfie’s compositions, as well as providing additional material and preparing the score for rehearsals/performance. Performances took place as part of the Regents Park Music Festival, and as such was designed to be site-specific, inviting the audiences to move around the garden as the story unfolded.
